Asteel Racing are a strong Western Australian family speedway racing team

with Keenan “Crackers” Fleming piloting the #26 Speedcar.

Keenan is a 4th Generation speedcar driver in Western Australia. Great Grandfather Slim O’Bryan raced speedcars in the 1950s. Great Uncle Bob O’Bryan raced speedcars from 1977 until 1996. Father Jimmy Fleming raced speedcars from 1996 until 2008. Crackers' racing career only started in 2012 at 12 years of age racing go-karts down at the Dirt Trackers Kart Club with a dream to one day drive speedcars like his Dad.

At only 16 years of age Crackers made his debut in speedcars at the Perth Motorplex Opening Night on 15 October 2016 for the start of the 2016/17 speedcar season.   His inaugural season of speedcar racing saw Keenan became the first and youngest rookie to ever win the Perth Motorplex Track Championship and youngest driver to win the New Years Speedcar Derby!   Last season he also took 3rd place in the Perth Motorplex Track Championship.

Moving into his third season of speedcar racing, Keenan and the Asteel Racing team return bigger and better for the upcoming 2018/19 speedcar season.

Keenan is supported by his crew of Wayne Cover (crew chief), Jimmy Fleming, Murray Little and Brad Pages. Wayne and Jimmy are former speedcar competitors with great success at both Claremont Speedway and Perth Motorplex.  All crew members are an asset to the team with their combined expertise of race car experience and mechanical knowledge.

The Asteel Racing team competes at all sanctioned speedway events within Western Australia, including Perth Motorplex and country tracks such as Albany, Bunbury, Collie, Ellenbrook, Esperance, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Manjimup, Margaret River, Moora and Narrogin.
